This notice describes TrackShitForFree, the book-release tracker maintained by PaidShitForFree. You can browse and search the catalog without creating an account or agreeing to optional analytics. Use Contact & corrections for questions about this site or its data practices.
Book data saved in your browser
The tracker saves a compressed copy of public book-listing data in IndexedDB so repeat visits load quickly. It contains listing details and image URLs, not downloaded cover images or ebook files. The saved payload is limited to 10 MiB, plus browser storage overhead. Older catalog copies are discarded when the site is next opened after seven days.
Use Clear cache on either book page to remove this copy. The books already displayed remain in that tab, and a later load may save a fresh copy. Your author search and filter selections are applied in the page; they are not sent as custom analytics events.
Your analytics choice
We ask before loading Google Analytics. Choose Only necessary to use the tracker without analytics, or Allow analytics to help us understand visits and site usage. Your choice and its timestamp are saved in browser local storage for up to 180 days so the site can remember and apply it. If browser storage is unavailable, a choice may apply only to the current page.
You can reopen at any time. Withdrawing permission disables analytics, removes this site’s Google Analytics cookies and reloads the page without the analytics tag. It does not erase information that Google has already processed.
What Google Analytics can process
If you allow it, Google Analytics uses cookies and online identifiers to measure page visits and interactions. Its cookies are configured to expire after 180 days and may be renewed during opted-in visits. Google receives technical information involved in the request, such as browser and device information and the network address used to connect. The site sends page paths with query strings and fragments removed. We do not send author search text, submitted author details, email addresses or custom user identifiers to Analytics.
Google signals and advertising-personalisation signals are disabled in this site’s tag configuration. Advertising consent remains denied. Requests to the tracker and external services
Your browser requests the site and catalog from our hosting and API services. Those services process normal connection information, including an IP address, browser request information and the requested address, to deliver and operate the service. Submitting an author sends the author name, identifier and any supplied author URL to the tracker’s backend to request an update.
Cover images and fonts can load from external providers, including Amazon image services and Google Fonts. Those providers receive the network information needed to deliver their resources. Following an Amazon link or opening the support chat takes you to a separate service governed by that service’s privacy practices. The support chat is not embedded in this site.
Advertising
This version of the tracker does not load AdSense ad code or display Google-served ads. Analytics consent is not consent to personalised advertising. If advertising is introduced, this notice and the applicable consent controls must be updated for the vendors and advertising uses involved.
Google’s general advertising controls are available in My Ad Center. Third-party advertising services can use cookies and other identifiers to select and measure ads on sites where they operate; that is separate from the optional Analytics setup described above.
